Instant software cost calculator
Six questions, a real number, and the arithmetic behind it. Every result is a fixed price between $500 and $2,500 with a delivery window in days — because AI writes the first draft and senior engineers review, test and harden every build. No submit step, no email gate, no callback.
Most software cost calculators collect eight sections of detail and then promise a figure by email. This one returns the price as you move the controls, shows the sum, and states what the price does not buy. Base prices come from 79 documented projects with a median of $1,450 and a median delivery of 13 days.
Your fixed price
$1,500
13–23 days
Because AI writes the first draft and senior engineers review, test and harden every build, PINCLER prices this at $1,500 — admin panel or back office work that traditional agencies quote far higher. It is a different production method, not a discount, and $2,500 is a ceiling rather than a starting point.
How this number was worked out
There is no model behind this figure. It is a base price taken from a real published project, plus flat rates for the things you added, rounded to the nearest $50.
| Line | Working | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Base build — admin panel or back office | Catalogue starting price for Admin Dashboard & Back-Office Panel | $800 |
| User accounts, sign-in and roles | Flat $250 | $250 |
| 2 extra screens or workflows | 2 included in the base, 2 more at $120 each | $240 |
| 1 integration | 1 x $200 per external system | $200 |
| Total, rounded | Nearest $50 | $1,500 |
$800 + $250 + 2 x $120 + $200 = $1,490, rounded to $1,500.
What the market publishes for this
AVIBE's 2026 custom software cost guide puts a focused internal tool at $75,000–$125,000 over one to three months, rising to $125,000–$250,000 for a small business application.

PINCLER, this estimate
$1,500 · 13–23 days
That published floor is about 50× this estimate. The gap is production method, not geography: AVIBE is describing teams where a person writes the first draft of every file. Here, AI writes it and senior engineers review, test and harden it. Source.

This estimate sits in the Dashboards band, where 3 of our 79 documented projects live. That band runs $800–$2,500 with a median of $1,600 and 14 days. Every one of the 79 projects was invoiced at a fixed price between $500 and $2,500. See the full dataset.
What $1,500 buys
- Create, read, update and delete screens over your core records
- Search, filtering, bulk actions and CSV export
- An audit trail of who changed what
- Accounts, sign-in and role permissions
- 1 external system connected, with field mapping agreed in writing first
In every build, at every price
- A senior engineer reviews every file before it ships — AI writes the first draft, a person signs it off
- Automated tests on the core paths, plus a security pass over auth, input handling and secrets
- Deployment into your own cloud and payment accounts, with the source code handed to your GitHub
- Written documentation and a recorded walkthrough, so another developer can pick the work up
What it does not buy
A vague cheap price invites disbelief. This one is scoped, so you can check it.
- Third-party licence and usage fees — model APIs, hosting, SMS, payment processing — billed to your own accounts
- Formal compliance programmes such as SOC 2 or HIPAA certification, and the audits that go with them
- Bespoke brand identity work: logo design, illustration systems, motion design
- Ongoing content production, copywriting beyond the pages in scope, and paid media
- Historical data entry or cleansing beyond one migration pass
- Native platform work outside a React Native or Flutter codebase, such as custom SDKs or hardware drivers
Enterprise platforms with heavy compliance, regulated data residency or a 12-month roadmap are not what this band is for. If that is your project, an agency quoting five or six figures is the right call.
This is an estimate produced by published arithmetic, not a contract. A written fixed-price quote follows a free 30-minute call, and it will not be above $2,500. If a call shows the build is simpler than these inputs suggest, the quote goes down.
Method
How the estimate is derived
Five steps of arithmetic. No model, no weighting, no hidden multiplier — the same sum you could do on paper.
- 1
Start from a real published project
Each build type in the calculator maps to a project already published in the PINCLER catalogue, with its own page, price band and delivery window. The base price is that project's published starting price — for example $500 for a landing page, $800 for an admin panel, $1,800 for a SaaS MVP. It is not a guess about your project; it is what a comparable build was actually quoted at.
- 2
Add flat rates for what you described
Two screens or workflows are covered by the base. Each further one adds $120. Each external system connected adds $200, which sits inside the $150–$400 per integration published on the pricing page. Accounts and roles add $250; taking payments adds $300.
- 3
Apply the schedule you chose
A compressed schedule adds 15% and shortens the delivery window by about 20%. The same scope is delivered with more senior review running in parallel, which costs more per day and less in elapsed time.
- 4
Round, then check the ceiling
The total is rounded to the nearest $50. If it lands above $2,500, the calculator does not quote a higher number. It splits the work into phases, each priced inside the $500–$2,500 band, and never adds the phases together.
- 5
Show the market figure beside it
Every result appears next to an independently published cost figure for the same kind of build, named and linked. Stating the consensus number is part of the answer, not an omission from it.
Every rate the calculator applies
| Input | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Each screen or workflow beyond 2 | $120 | +1 day each |
| Each external system connected | $200 | +1–2 days each |
| User accounts, sign-in and roles | $250 | +2–3 days |
| Taking payments | $300 | +2–3 days |
| Compressed schedule | +15% | about 20% fewer days |
Worked example: an admin panel with four screens, one integration and user accounts is $800 base + $240 for two extra screens + $200 for the integration + $250 for accounts = $1,490, rounded to $1,500, delivered in 13–23 days. The median across our 79 documented projects is $1,450.

The gap
Why the number is this low, stated plainly
The difference between this calculator and every other one is not scope, not geography and not a discount. It is who writes the first draft.
It is not geography
Accelerance's 2026 global outsourcing rate research, drawn from 60 software development partners worldwide, puts senior developer rates at $31–$41 per hour in Asia, $60–$75 in Latin America and $64–$76 in Central and Eastern Europe. Moving a project offshore moves the hourly rate; it does not remove the hours. A build quoted at 800 hours is still 800 hours at $35 an hour.
It is the production method
AI writes the first draft of the schema, the API, the screens and the test suite in minutes. Senior engineers then review every file, harden the security-sensitive paths and run the tests. The hours that disappear are drafting hours, which is why the price falls by an order of magnitude and the review does not.
The market figure, for context
FullStack Labs' 2026 Software Development Price Guide reports that 65.7% of custom software projects fall between $30,000 and $100,000, and that only 14.1% come in under $30,000 at the time of writing. DesignRush's software development pricing guide puts the average cost of custom software development at $50,000 to $250,000, noting that some projects reach into the millions.
What stays in, at every price
- A senior engineer reviews every file before it ships — AI writes the first draft, a person signs it off
- Automated tests on the core paths, plus a security pass over auth, input handling and secrets
- Deployment into your own cloud and payment accounts, with the source code handed to your GitHub
- Written documentation and a recorded walkthrough, so another developer can pick the work up
Cheap software is usually cheap because someone skipped the review, the tests or the handover. Those are the three things that do not move here — they are the reason a fixed price this low is safe to accept.

- Bespoke brand identity work: logo design, illustration systems, motion design

Honesty
When this calculator is the wrong tool
The band suits one core system, standard integrations and a delivery window measured in days. It does not suit a regulated platform that needs a formal compliance programme, a build with data-residency obligations across several jurisdictions, or a roadmap with a year of committed engineering behind it. For those, an agency quoting five or six figures is the correct answer and this page will only mislead you.
It is also the wrong tool if an off-the-shelf product already covers most of what you need. A team that would be served by configuring an existing CRM should configure the existing CRM. We build custom software when the workflow is genuinely yours, not when a subscription would do the job for less.
And it is an estimate, not a quote. It cannot see the state of your data, the quality of the API you need to integrate with, or the decision that has not been made yet. Those come out in a 30-minute call, and the written quote that follows is the number that binds — still capped at $2,500.

FAQ
Questions about this calculator
How does this software cost calculator work out a price?
It adds published numbers together. The base is the starting price of a real project in PINCLER's catalogue of 79 documented builds, and the calculator then adds $120 per screen or workflow beyond the two the base covers, $200 per external system connected, $250 for accounts and roles, $300 for payments, and 15% for a compressed schedule. The total is rounded to the nearest $50. Every line of that sum is shown on screen.
Is $2,500 really the maximum, and what happens if my project is bigger?
$2,500 is a hard ceiling, not an average. When the inputs add up to more than that, the calculator does not quote a larger figure — it splits the work into phases and prices each one separately inside the $500–$2,500 band. Phase one is a working, deployed system with the source code in your repository; you approve phase two only after phase one is live. The phases are never summed into one larger contract.
Why is this so much lower than other software cost calculators?
The difference is production method, not geography or scope-cutting. Clutch's pricing guide puts a typical custom software project at $10,000–$49,999 with an average of $132,480 over about 13 months, because those teams have a person writing the first draft of every file. PINCLER has AI write the first draft and senior engineers review, test and harden it, which removes most of the hours a traditional quote is built from. The reviewing, testing and hardening stay.
Do I have to give an email address to see the price?
No. The number appears as you move the controls, with no submit step, no email gate and no lead form in front of it. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere — the arithmetic runs in your browser, and the shareable link is just your inputs encoded in the URL. Many published cost calculators collect several screens of detail and then promise a figure by email within a business day; this one gives you the figure and the working.
How accurate is the estimate?
It is an estimate from published arithmetic, not a contract. Across 79 documented projects the median price is $1,450 and the median delivery 13 days, and every one was invoiced inside the band. A written fixed-price quote follows a free 30-minute call and will not exceed $2,500. Where the call shows the build is simpler than the inputs suggest, the quote goes down rather than up.
What is not included in the price the calculator shows?
Third-party licence and usage fees — model APIs, hosting, SMS, payment processing — are billed to your own accounts, not ours. Formal compliance programmes such as SOC 2 or HIPAA certification, bespoke brand identity work, ongoing content production, and historical data cleansing beyond one migration pass all sit outside the price. Enterprise platforms with heavy compliance or a twelve-month roadmap are not what this band is for.
