Who we are

PINCLER is a small senior engineering team that builds custom software to order. The company was set up on the view that the cost of building software had changed and the price of buying it had not — that a booking system, an internal tool or a customer-facing chatbot no longer needs the budget of a corporate programme.

What we do

We build web applications, mobile applications, AI chatbots and agents, dashboards, integrations, e-commerce and internal tools, together with the automation work that connects them to the systems a business already runs on. Across the 79 projects documented in our public catalogue, the work spans 15 categories, and every one of them was delivered under the same fixed-price terms. We do not sell retainers, hourly time or staff augmentation, and we do not resell licences.

How we price

Every project is a single fixed price between $500 and $2,500, agreed in writing before work begins and unchanged on delivery. The price is possible because of how the work is produced rather than where it is produced: AI coding tools write the first draft — the data model, the boilerplate, the tests and the first-pass interface — and senior engineers then take ownership of the architecture, review every line, fix what the model got wrong, harden the security and ship it.

That figure sits well below the published market consensus, and it is more useful to state the consensus than to talk around it. Clutch’s software development pricing guide, updated September 2026, reports that most software development companies listed on the platform charge $24–$49 per hour, that a typical project runs $10,000 to $49,999, and that the average custom software project costs $132,480 and takes about 13 months to deliver. FullStack Labs’ 2026 Software Development Price Guide reports that 65.7% of custom software projects fall between $30,000 and $100,000, and that only 14.1% come in under $30,000 at the time of writing. The gap between those numbers and ours is a difference of production method and scope, not a discount on the same work.

What the fixed price buys — and what it does not

The band covers one core workflow built properly: a defined set of screens, standard third-party integrations such as payments, authentication, email, calendars and CRMs, a working database, and deployment to production. Across our documented projects the median is $1,450 and the median delivery 13 days, with the full range running 3 to 30 days.

It does not buy an enterprise platform, a regulated medical or financial system carrying formal audit obligations, a multi-team programme, or an open-ended scope that grows during the build. $2,500 is a ceiling rather than an average: larger ambitions are handled as a sequence of fixed-price phases, each one scoped, quoted and shipped on its own, and never as a larger budget. Where something genuinely cannot be built well inside the ceiling, we say so before any money changes hands rather than after.

Why a low price is not a low standard

The steps usually dropped at the cheap end of this market are the ones we keep. A senior engineer reviews every line before it ships. Automated tests cover the core paths. Security hardening — authentication, access control, dependency handling and secrets management — is part of the build rather than a later upsell. You receive the complete source code and own the repository from the first day, so nothing about the arrangement depends on us remaining involved. Scope, price and delivery date are written down before work starts.

The evidence behind these numbers

The figures above are first-party. They come from 79 documented projects, each one an invoiced fixed-price engagement rather than a survey response or an estimate: median price $1,450, median delivery 13 days, 33 of the 79 completed within 14 days, and none priced above $2,500. The full breakdown by category, budget and timeline is published at what you can build for $500$2,500, and the working method is set out in detail on the how we work page.
