How the 3 attempts work on Sunday
- All attempts are on Sunday, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM IST. There are no other times.
- Part 1 takes at most 15 minutes. It has 20 questions, 45 seconds each.
- You must take a 15-minute break between attempts. It starts when you submit Part 1. So submit as soon as you finish.
- You do not repeat Parts 2 and 3. Their marks count in all 3 attempts. You can test your webhook again. We keep your best score.
- Your best score of the 3 counts.
- Start attempt #1 by 1:45 PM IST. Then you have time for all 3. If an attempt is running at 3:00 PM, you can finish it.
Use AI well. Do not depend on it.
You can use Cursor, Copilot and Claude. If you only copy AI answers, you will not pass.
Depends on AI
Their code breaks with real users
- Gives the timed questions to ChatGPT. We can tell when this happens.
- Calls
await openai.chat.completions.create()with no limit on token cost. Has no plan for a 429 (too many requests) error. - Cannot explain or change their own Redis lock. The 60-second video shows this.
Uses AI well
Their code works with real users
- Uses AI as a fast helper. Still adds Redis locks and input checks.
- Passes all 5 webhook checks. 95% of replies come back in under
650ms. - Passes the test and turns on profile sharing. Gets an interview within 30 days.
5 ways we keep the test fair
-
AI-Dependency Detection
We use PinHire’s proprietary AI-Dependency Detection Algorithm (behavioral, timing & adversarial telemetry). It shows us who gives questions to an AI chatbot.
-
Timed and watched test
Each question has a time limit. We watch every test.
-
One person, one account
We check who you are.
-
Your own build task
Every candidate gets a different build task.
-
Live check of your code
We test your code live. Then you explain and change it in a 60-second video.
We don't share how these checks work. This keeps them strong.
